Before assembly, check the fit and remove the release agent with isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Cut off sprues with a saw/cutter. Wear a dust mask or respiratory mask when machining to avoid inhaling dust particles.
Carefully heat warped parts (e.g. with a hairdryer) and bend them into shape. Glue with 2K or superglue. Unpainted cast parts darken over time and can turn yellow - especially when exposed to UV light.

Roold aviator helmet: havana brown leather (dark brown or black also possible); Propeller (embroidered badge for officers) in silver (or in gold - e.g. Armèe d'Afrique or coloniale)
Shoes: dark brown leather
Gloves: brown or black leather; fur lining
Scarf/neckerchief: any color (patterns also possible - more muted colors)
Altimeter: Brown leather case and strap; dial white with black numbers or black with white numbers; clock-hand white, black or bare metal (brass also possible)
Tires: rubber coating light to dark gray; Metal spoke cover: Color varies depending on unit
