Before assembly, check the fit and remove the release agent with isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Cut off sprues with a saw/cutter. Wear a dust mask or respiratory mask when machining to avoid inhaling dust particles.
Carefully heat warped parts (e.g. with a hairdryer) and bend them into shape. Glue with 2K or superglue. Unpainted cast parts darken over time and can turn yellow - especially when exposed to UV light.
Overpants: field gray moleskin
Fur boots: field gray; Fur lining; Leather cap and sole
Fur coat: black (traffic troops) or field gray with fur collar; Nickel buttons
Balaclava: field gray knitting wool
Life jacket: linen
Helmet M1913: different colors possible, but mostly field gray painted leather; Ear flaps and neck protection made from natural leather
Gloves (lying in the helmet): black or brown leather, fur lining
Aviator wind protection goggles: black rubber band; Clear glasses with aluminum and leather frames
Scarf: gray / field gray; in the case of a civilian piece of color, any pattern is possible
