Before assembly, check the fit and remove the release agent with isopropyl alcohol or acetone. Cut off sprues with a saw/cutter. Wear a dust mask or respiratory mask when machining to avoid inhaling dust particles.
Carefully heat warped parts (e.g. with a hairdryer) and bend them into shape. Glue with 2K or superglue. Unpainted cast parts darken over time and can turn yellow - especially when exposed to UV light.
The original photo on which this figure is based shows a pilot wearing his fur coat inside out for reasons unknown to us, revealing the inner lining.
(long) fur coat: field gray (as in the photo template) or black; Lining black, long-haired sheepskin - in the photo, however, the lining has been replaced with rabbit fur; Buttons nickel
Fur overboots: field gray canvas; lining (black or white) sheepskin; Leather cap, sole and buckles (brown or black); Pin buckles black or zinc-colored
Balaclava: field gray knitting wool
Gloves (electrically heated): black/dark brown leather trimmed with black rabbit fur; White twisted wire leads (not included) - they plug into a socket in the aircraft fuselage and terminate in the gauntlets of the gloves
Flying goggles: rubber strap black; Clear lenses with aluminum and leather rims
scarf: grey/field grey; any color for civilian pieces, patterns also possible
